While this is true, it doesn't make Wade a bad coach.

Lol it isn’t true, in Brady’s 11 years at LSU he won 20 games 4 times. Wade will have his 3rd 20 win season already this year in his first 4 overall despite having the last 2 seasons cut short. Brady’s worst season was 9-18, Wade’s was 17-15. Brady missed the post season in 5 of 11 seasons, Wade has never missed post season play at LSU. You can also look at their records coaching LSU to see that Wade is lightyears better than Brady.

Overall Record, win%
Brady- 192-139, (58%)
Wade- 77-35, (68.8%)

SEC record, win%
Brady- 74-93, (44.3%)
Wade- 41-20, (67.2%), best in LSU history

That doesn't mean Wade is a better coach. Are you saying people actually believe Wade is a better basketball coach than Brady?

"coaching" involves a lot of different aspects: recruiting, game planning, in-game strategy and tactics, scheme (both offense and defense), motivation, discipline, substitution patterns, attention to academic issues, etc.

Coaches can be great at some of these and poor at others. No coach is perfect in all of them.

So it's ok to question the areas where Wade is deficient.

that’s exactly what it means and yes 99% of all humanity knows that Wade is a better coach.

You know where Alabama ranks in team defense? 182. They just beat our asses by 30 points. They didn't beat LSU because they played better defense. They beat LSU because they scored a shite pile of points and made a shite pile of 3 pointers. Not many teams play hard defense these days. It's a reflection of the entire game of basketball, not just LSU.

The same can be said for college football. Who the frick actually plays defense anymore?

So much wrong in one post, Solo
quote:

ok motherfuksr you know you can’t win a championship every year tight?
I never said we should win a championship every year.
quote:

You’re mad because LSU basketball is good but not a title favorite
I'm not mad at all and am happy we're good. Just frustrated that defense continues to be a problem, and it's holding us back.
quote:

You think we can just snap our fingers and go from outhouse to title contender in no time?
I never said anything remotely close to this
quote:

We’re good because he’s built a good program. It takes time,
yes, we're good, but Wade's in his fourth year. Basketball isn't like football where it does takes years to rebuild a depleted roster. But basketball is far different, and it doesn't take much time at all. That's why Wade improved us immediately and went to the Sweet 16 his second year
quote:

but if you fricking clowns keep trying to run off any decent coach we’re gonna end up with Johnny or Trent again.
I never said to fire Wade, not even close. I just want him to improve the areas where we're weak.

Brady was a lousy coach. Kept 6-11 Chris Johnson (who later played in the NBA) on the bench for 2 years and had absolutely no idea how to use him. We could have won it all in 2006 if he had a clue how to use CJ. They never taught him a single post move his entire time at LSU. Finally in 2009 when Trent came on they taught him how to play the post and he averaged 10 pts 7 boards & 3 blocks and made the all SEC defensive team his senior year. That's after Brady had him on the bench for 2 1/2 seasons until he got fired.

Alabama is ranked 11th in the country in defensive efficiency.

The ranking you have must be for overall points per game and theirs will always high because they play so fast and both teams have so many possessions.

Their defensive efficiency-- percentage of possessions where they get defensive stops -- is among the best in the NCAA. I think LSU was around 120th before the Bama game.

Just checked
Alabama is #13 Offensive Efficiency and #11 Defensive Efficiency (which is admittedly pretty rare to be that high in both, only Gonzaga has both numbers around that this season).

LSU is #6 Offensive Efficiency and #127 Defensive Efficiency. LSU just getting into the 60s or 70s defensively would be immense.

Teams that go deep in the tourney almost always have both Offensive and Defensive efficiency numbers at least in the top 60 or so.
