Play of the game.
Pivotal turning point.
Coomes throw had zero chance for error and he pegged it!

I don't see how he could not have been safe. But the ref was right there and I am sure not complaining!!!!

It looked like he was well within arm's length of the bag while the ball was still in the air. Did he just 'short-arm' the bag? or was he blocked in some way by a foot or something??

Best throw I have ever seen a first baseman make - anywhere at any level./

the throwback was a laser, but Smith did also have to scoop it

the ump was out of position and he maneuvered around Smith after the play to look at what I don't know - it was after the play

I guess it was to look Flowers in the eye to tell him to his face that he was out

and he was out

You could see in the replay- smiths right leg is blocking the tag, the gloved ball tags flowers' upper arm. It was close but it was the right call.

I thought he was safe when I saw it live. But they showed a replay from a decent angle and it looked like it was the right call. Very close
