the ball is at least 6" off the plate and off the ground 6" at most.

Holy shite I am so glad I didn't waste my time watching that.

That's blatant. It really is. There is no way you can't say that's not corruption.

BTW: the hard asses will call you a pussy for pointing out the obvious.

I appreciate this video. I definitely won't waste my time watching any game in this series.

The ump last night might have been the worst at the college level I've ever seen. Not only was he terrible at calling balls strikes but it was also an unbelievably inconsistent zone. By the end of the game the batters were completely lost on what was a strike and what was a ball and I can't really blame them.

Yep, but any umpire worth a shite knows that ball is VERY low and outside regardless of what the catcher tries to do after.

That is as blatant as it gets.

Framing the pitch; happens all the time. Lazy umpires easily fooled.

A) It was a bad call

B) Every single fan base complains about bad calls. It's not a conspiracy against one team. Officiating as a whole is declining, either by poor training or bad messaging from the leagues.

I mean. It was obviously a ball. He called just about every one all night right there a strike. He did it both ways. Problem is, Arkansas pitchers were smart enough, and talented enough, to go back there. LSU pitchers got it called for them, but they weren't painting that part of the zone. They were just praying to throw a strike.

So I don't think any fix was in. The ump was just bad and Arkansas took advantage of it, while LSU didn't.

Umps should know that when a catcher frames a pitch like that, the pitch was a BALL. That's why it "needed" framing.

Go find that strike given to any LSU pitcher last night. They're about six of those same pitches maybe more called strikes in critical possible walk situations for LSU. Calling it a strike took base runners away from LSU.

He didn’t though. He looked like a Parkinson’s patient framing pitches. The ump was either wholly incompetent or compromised.

Here is an easy cue for the ump. If the catcher has to drag a pitch a foot back into the zone, the pitch was a ball.

Officiating has always been shite. Now we have just about every baseball game in HD with instant play. How many games did we watch per year 10 or 20 years ago? Not many. And if we did, it was shitty quality. Umps suck. It's nothing new. Give me the roboump.

If that's a strike why did the catcher need to bring it 16" back to the strike zone and frame it there???? It's almost as if the catcher had to get up to go catch it, then run back and frame it for the up.
