As crazy as this is getting it wouldn't surprise me at this point if BRPD planted some DNA on JJ's shoes
why, cause he's black?

That would just be par for the course anyway. That or sprinkling some cocaine in them

Absolutely embarrassing.

is taking all that "evidence" necessary?!
With all the stuff they took, I don't think they were looking for DNA...I think they were just helping him move. Damn, that looked ludicrous.

Holy shite, I thought they had a bunch of bags until that woman opened the back seat door! Good god...

This is a complete waste of resources. It is starting to look like a witch hunt and BRPD is taking this way too far. I'm all about damages for the people who are injured, but let them handle that in civil proceedings. This is just too much of a he said/she said to create a substantive criminal proceeding anyway.

BRPD must think JJ is the real Unibomber.
Posted on 8/24/11 at 10:16 pm to TigerDeacon
What is this investigation going to cost? $20, 30 grand?
Posted on 8/24/11 at 10:18 pm to Duckie
Baton Rouge is a city full of crime. It ranks 6th in the country with the highest murder rate. I think the BRPD should be spending their time and our money on other things. News flash BRPD go to Reggies, Freds, or Shadys any given night and I'll guarantee there is at least 1 or 2 fights and never is someones apartment searched because of it. This is getting out of control

From my experience it seems like 95% of what police do is just annoy people and blow things out of proportion.
I got pulled over the other day from some GED-toting cop who was trolling the middle lane of a 4-lane street looking for people who weren't wearing their seatbelts. Are you freaking kidding me?
Cops basically exist to generate revenue from nonsensical tickets and to harass people.

this. I drew the conclusion when they showed the suitcase in the trunk.
srsly, though, maybe they collected all his shoes?

While only one of the would be city business, it provides context of this compared to real stories.
WBRZ shows three stories after the JJ inquisition: an accused escaped murderer jumps of a 165 foot bridge, a baby is hit by a car after being left in a driveway at 11:30 PM last night, and a meth lab in Ascension.

Meh. I don't mind them doing some real work after the farce of them sweeping the Perrilloux thing under the rug.
