This crap has gotten to be completely ridiculous. Why did they really have to get DNA? What the hell does seizing all of JJ's stuff have anything to do with a fight? What's next, they're gonna do a shoe mold impressions to try and find the exact pair of shoes that was used to kick the dude in the head with?

This has gotten out of hand because someone at the BRPD is afraid of being accused of playing favorites and ignoring misconduct by the football team.

I think flbeachtiger brings up a great point here. Do you think it's a possibility that Jefferson was the one consistently named for the kick, but he denied it, and the video doesn't obviously implicate him? So they are going all out and leaving no stone unturned so that it doesn't appear that there was a coverup for the LSU quarterback? I think since it is such a high profile, the police do not want to appear to give favoritism since a good portion of the contingent have already prosecuted Jefferson as being guilty. Just a thought!

if you or someone in your family was kicked in the head, wouldn't you appreciate that effort?

I agree BRPD is taking things to far.

It was a freaking bar fight. When I was at LSU there were bar fights every night when the bars closed and police sure didn't try to get to the bottom of those.

Heck you can't even get BRPD to case a crime scene at your house if it is broken into and they are doing this much detective work over a bar fight? Get real BRPD..

Normal bar fights don't end with one person having multiple broken vertebrae, another being knocked unconscious, and one of them allegedly being kicked while on the ground.

Will you feel different if it comes out that someone was kicking an unconscious person that was on the ground? or, is it still just a silly little bar fight?

Anybody can claim an old injury is a result of a recent incidents. No x-rays at ER.They left the hospital to quickly .When your neck hurts - you know it and show it.

seeing just how much "evidence" they are taking pisses me off even more. IT's a bar fight!!!!!!

The only semi logical explanation is that they took every pair of shoes JJ had in his apartment to test for DNA. With the school's association with Nike, the players are privy (sp?) to a lot of gear, including shoes. Still, that would be a ton of shoes for one guy.

You think it isn't common for someone in a bar fight to have broken bones, being kicked on ground, or knocked unconscious?

That shite is petty compared to the ones where orbital sockets are cracked or subdural hematomas show up.

Are you shitting me? BRPD is going to process that much damn evidence over a fight that did not involve a long term medical stay. This is getting beyond stupid. Charge everybody with Simple battery and move on.

This is called "dragging your feet so Jordan can play in the big game." All of this in nothing but a ruse. Take a deep breath.

bullshite they don't.

And police never go to the extremes they are going through with this case over a normal bar fight. To take this much "Evidence" out of JJ's apartment is really a little absurd.

What about all the press conferences the police are having over this? I guess that is normal also?

about the bags, those look like frikkin grocery bags, isn't evidence and possible DNA samples usually put in plastic/sterile type bags so as not to degrade or compromise the samples?
