Ice, I am disappointed. Lowery is the hero marine that just went to beat up his girl at the bar and save some dudes and got attacked for being awesome.

Actually, I think Lowery is the one that is supposed to have all the 2nd degree injuries aka broken bones etc..........
The other "victims" just got their asses kicked.

ok?
i'm sure not everything was videotaped either
I forgot i'm on the rant though.
Isn't this the second LSU quarterback that you are vehemently attacking after a bar fight? Also, weren't you embarrassed a bit last time because of your false info. Maybe I am not remembering correctly.
If I'm right, you definitely seem way too invested in the situation. What is the motivation behind you being so against athletes?
FYI, if it's proven that Jefferson is guilty, I want him suspended.

We don't know what happened. Just because I think Lowery has credibility issues doesn't mean everything he has said is untrue. And even if we assume Lowery is a complete liar, it still doesn't mean Jefferson is innocent of kicking him in the head.
baloo, that is the best post in this whole fricking thread

that's not true.

This might have been asked and answered, but why is everyone fixated on Lowery? Four people reportedly went to the hospital, none of them football players, with a range of injuries. Lowery just happens to be the highest profile, either because he made himself known or because of his own history.
I'm not arguing that any of this is dispositive, but Lowery is not the only "victim" in this incident.
because the other victims names haven't been released or found out I guess

All of this nonsense about Jefferson not wearing black is dispelling a theory that was not created by BRPD(That he was the kicker in black). More likely is that he was the one in white who stomped(hence the curb stomped retelling) Lowery. What the video does show is Lowery helping a guy in his truck, like he said.
I promise you there are witnesses who saw it. Sure, its heresay coming from me, and therefor doesn't matter, but the burden of proof isn't on me to tell you that BRPD has plenty of witnesses who saw it. That just stands to reason that that was the reason for the arrest.
Oh but wait, the employees who didn't watch the fight are sure JJ wasn't in it. They didn't see who was in it but they definitely saw that JJ wasn't. Why would you believe employees(vested interest to the football players) who didn't see the fight over neutral witnesses 10 feet away from them?(and yes they are neutral. Believe it or not, some people at Shady's that night didn't like Lowery better than LSU football

quote:Sounded like more of an oversight than anything. Why would Lowery say he was never in the bar knowing multiple people could confirm that he was? It doesn't really affect his side of the story. So, IF his attorney was referring to Lowery, then Lowery would have lied to him. Why? What would Lowery have to gain by lying to his attorney about something not really relevant but easily disproven? It's pure logic.
That's a very generous interpretation. That's possible, but that seems like an odd way of reading the quote.
quote:I don't think they did. They didn't go to the hospital together, or the same hospital. There has never been any mention of them knowing each other and Long's statement is kinda disparaging to them.
And now it turns out that they know each other?

it really doesn't.
Were not you, TIGRLEE, and a few others just saying in the "YouTube: The alleged LSU brawl video" thread how "fricked" the dude in all black was and how much you hoped that guy in all black wasn't JJ?
You must be happy now to at least know JJ wasn't dressed in all black.

How did they know to hire the same attorney. They probably went to seperate hospitals to make it appear they did not know each other, then one of the victims knew a lawyer and called on all their behalf. You don't know each other but go to the same attorney who happens to be a litigation attorney -- they saw $$$$$$$$

No its because AL is who JJ allegedly stomped. Seeming more unlikely.

Awesome. A 26 page thread talking about a suspended player that was deemed by many to be the weakest link on a potential NC team, who at best, was engaged in something the player anointed by his head coach as the team leader shouldn't have been, and a couple of threads talking about ESPN's reporting screwups du jour. Meanwhile one has to look pretty hard to find a meaningful thread discussing the Top 5 matchup that will be approaching halftime 4 days from now. We obviously have more lawyer wannabes than we have actual football fans.
Sums it up for me. This has turned into a sad soap opera like the OJ trial or Casey Anthony. Give it a rest, people, and let the legal process take care of it.

WRONG. They said JJ didn't start it, not that he didn't kick. Please get the facts straight or GTFO because this is the kind of shite that pollutes the discussion.

Both said they could not say if JJ was or wasn't involved, and only that at some point during the fight he wasn't. Nice try assuming that they cleared him though.
Neldare said he saw Jefferson at one point "standing by himself and looking upset while the fight was still taking place."
I dunno. Sure sound like he wasn't involved, at least from Neldare's standpoint. The other employee indicated that the truck drove into the fracas. So that's not really in line with the American Hero bullshite, either. So no matter what either of us says, you've got 2-3 different accounts of the same incident. I know that bugs you guys who are hoping this gets the LSU football team in deep shite but personally, it bugs the frick out of me that a couple of drunk kids could generate this much attention.
