Re: unless due to injury payment should be on playing in the games

Nicholastiger, I understand why you'd want to tie payment to performance, and maybe you can place a % on things like that. But NIL and Rev Sharing are much more than the time that is spent playing the game. Like, Revenue is driven by ticket sales, which in large part happen out of season...why shouldn't an athlete (star) be able to access their piece of that pie, that they ultimately drove demand for?

Definitely a slippery slope with the inner workings. Timing makes everything precedent.

Not sure how they even knew as it's being reported this happened at Indiana.

Heard a report earlier that he was at a Reds game betting on balls and strikes.

It was said that his camp had some demands that the staff didn't want to meet so they are the ones who leaked our contract to the media. Either way we dodged a bullet

You’d be insane to not leave a good situation for double your current earnings.

Maybe . Maybe not. It may not always be double for one thing, and a good situation that will set you up better for the pros could be more valuable than a quick one time cash grab. Thats why it could be a red flag. Its very often short sighted and immature. Maybe even selfish. But hey, thats the society we live in now. Aint nobody got time for all that delayed gratification nonsense.

He only went to rehab because they told him if he went it would look positive on him. Why? Because TT still believes he can become the qb next season. TT will do everything possible to get him cleaned up to play. Until he is officially ruled ineligible(and TT will fight that one too ro prevent it from happening) their goal is to have him in uniform in September. Dont be fooled.

The issue is the time crunch. Schools have legit 2 weeks to get guys signed and enrolled so they are eligible to participate in Spring. IDK how you can possibly vet these kids to an acceptable degree in that timeframe.

This is exactly why Saban has been stomping around Congress trying to get something done. He said it needs to go to an NFL style system so that you can properly evaluate everyone and everything. 1 portal window, 1 signing class window after season is over.
