While ryan clark is a pos, he’s a noisy pos. Savvy move by verge to reach out to him and “ask advice” which helps ensure that when the idiot does start to talk about the hire - it will be positive. That narcisssist probably sits there and feels like he is the reason they went with kiffin or got him so of course it’s a great hire - because ryan made it happen!

I'll be honest, I didn't like the hire at all. After watching this, I feel much better.

Cool little anecdote about Verge.
My wife and I were in town for a family event and took our 18 month old daughter to see the tiger. This was in May of 2021. We’re walking by the stadium and it’s pretty dead and quiet. All of a sudden a door opens from the weight room and it’s Verge and he asks us if we want a tour. We say yes, absolutely, and he proceeds to take 30 minutes out of his day to give us a tour of the facilities and let us walk on the field and takes a family picture of us.
Absolutely incredible memory (mostly for me) but just shows the kind of guy he is. Just wanted to promote the brand to some random strangers walking by.

Verge truly loves LSU.....he can cut through all the political bullshite and just say, do you want to do what's best for this school or not? You can tell he is fully determined to make this thing work and he has the balls to make the moves to do it. Without Verge, you don't get Kiffin, and I think Lane made that pretty clear. For all the shite that was talked about him getting promoted early on, he has shut that shite up quickly with what he was able to pull off. I was a bit skeptical myself, but Verge has proven in short order that he is a force to be reckoned with and basically dragged his nuts all over the other schools after Lane. I don't think there was a better choice after all the smoke cleared, let's fricking ride!

Got damn. I take everything bad I ever said about Verge back. What an interview. We are in great hands. Unlike quiet Woodward. Someone who has actually gave his body for LSU and who is doing what is best for LSU and not for himself
