There’s as much chance for LK as there was for NS.

McAfee asked her a few weeks ago on College Gameday if Penn State had offered $15mil per year yet and she rattled off that they are really enjoying where they are now.. yadda yadda yadda..

..but they haven’t heard a number yet.

So there IS a number.
Saban already has generational wealth and still makes tens of millions per year from ESPN and his many businesses. Money isn’t going to drive him or his wife at this point in life.

And he hates what NIL has done to the college game and wants no part of it.

So there’s ZERO chance Saban returns to college football.

Verge did not say there's no shot. Listen again!

I will not be the coach at Alabama comes to mind.

It shouldn’t. That was 2 decades ago when he was a young man with a legacy to build. Now he’s objectively the greatest college coach of all time sitting on his 500 million.

How do yall even think this is remotely the same thing?

Well one he flat out lied.

This one he hasn’t made a statement.

So I guess you’re right, they are different.

Really, how much money does a person need to live grandly. Ain't no way he's coaching again.

If that's surprising to anyone.... then you have serious issues.

You think saying the thing with a 0.5% chance of happening, wont happen, is a flex? It’s the weakest of victory laps.

Obviously you haven't been reading a lot of the threads. Of course some of the "Saban is back" talk is tongue in cheek but a lot of it isn't. So yeah, I will flex for being right and take a victory lap. Just because you and I thought it was a pipe dream doesn't mean a LOT of the posters considered it fantasy.

Saban has kept his word since then. And it’s been almost 20 years! It was early in his career then. If he didn’t come when we had an opening before Kelly, I don’t think he’s coming now. He gets to spend more time with family and grandkids. That’s hard to pass up.
