I really dont get pitching hellmers here, unless we are just trying to stretch him out for next week’s start

I mean, we've gotta figure out who's gonna move up to the weekend rotation to replace Hill. Whoever that is won't be available in the coming midweek. If you don't get that guys some innings this weekend, you may have someone starting next weekend that hadn't pitched in 9 or 10 days. It kinda makes sense to get them all some time now to avoid the long layoff.

Makes no sense. He could be huge if we’re in any position to win tomorrow. If next weekend Labas goes to Saturday and Hellmers to Sunday, that shouldn’t matter when he pitches this weekend. Just another terrible management job by CPM.

Labas should be able to go deep, but the rest of those have been very shaky this year. Tomorrow was always our best chance to squeak out a win. Keep the best relievers available until then if possible.
