Agreed. They are mentally weak. Not really criticizing them individually as much as the collective. Too many underclassmen. Jay gambled on some 2nd year guys (and Pearson as a 3rd year) to take massive jumps, and they just haven't. Not great roster management.
I think Jay is a great HC and will win more NCs here. But he's still a pretty young coach (only 46) and is still learning. This is his 1st year as defending NC too. It's different. You already get everybody's best shot because of the LSU brand, add defending NCs to that, and it's an even bigger beast to deal with. But with all we lost, this may have just been inevitable. Just gotta get through '24 with next year being the year. Hope Jones comes back, though. Don't care about Kling, really. Unfortunately, I think he is who he is at this point.
