re: VanBuren first throw was a throw Nuss can’t or won’t make

I am not watching the same game as some of you. I see the OL being 80% of the problem. They cannot block anyone. They couldn’t even block La Tech. And let’s not forget the D and STs - You cannot win when you give up 49. Period.

And on the mobile quarterbacks second play, he took a sack.
Then he also avoided a few sacks and had some positive run plays. Nuss didn’t have a single run beyond the line of scrimmage. The lack of threat there certainly doesn’t help keep a pass rush honest. Teams can tee off on us because our QB can’t run and we don’t throw the ball over the defenses head.

Van Buren doesn’t fit Kelli‘s idea of an offense. Kelly’s idea of an offense is a drop back passer, immobile who can’t run.
Its the geriatric Midwest way.

Okay, let me explain it to you.
If you have an offense that you call, and your 5th year QB refuses to throw it downfield, and is 2/19 on throws over 25 yards, and what point do you just adjust your play calling?
Because even if we need 20 yards, we've seen Nuss throw it to the check down. So why not just call plays that force him to get the ball to Brown or Anderson or Green and see if they can out athlete everyone and get a first down.
That's what Sloans doing.

I didn’t realize Nuss was out of the game.
I was complaining about how pitiful he was then I saw that throw and said, “shite, that was his best throw of the night by a mile”.
Then I looked closer and realized it wasn’t Nuss.
Summary: Nuss is garbage.

Neither was Nussmeier the previous 2 possessions.

Its easier against A&Ms 2nd defense

Yeah but Pussmeier’s dad though. Think of his feelings

MVB by all accounts was better than Pussmeier in the spring, and he’s certainly better than him now. Even if he wasn’t, most fans want him because at least he isn’t scared to fricking death. Maybe if Puss drew some more dicks on his face before the game

A&M’s third team D would’ve had Pussmeier wetting his diaper. He and Sloan are a shameful pair and Kelly is the ultimate drunken buffoon for keeping them around

That's not true. Which makes it even more confusing as to why Kelly has refused to sit Nuss. Including Nuss only 3 or 4 of his primary starting QBs in the past 20 years have been statues.

Why does the playbook change for the better with a backup qb when we were supposed to have a heisman candidate who threw 4000 yards last year
Posted on 10/26/25 at 9:40 am to LSUGrrrl
He should have been in for Ole Miss game. Defense was dominating early. We could have built a lead.

Vanburen will not do any better than nuss with this OL and play calling
Posted on 10/26/25 at 9:58 am to themunch
It wasn't any different from when Nuss was standing in concrete and on his arse in the fetal position and quit.
Sure mvb took a sack, but after that he was moving the pocket and stepping up to direct traffic and extend plays with his legs. I'm not saying he's awesome or perfect, but is night and day better looking at football than Nuss.

Me and son were watching MVB in warm ups. 30 yards beautiful dimes right over the WR shoulder in the basket. When Nuss did same drill ball had different trajectory on every throw, receivers would have to stop or turn around to catch it, or he would miss. Nuss sucks
