re: USC AD: decision to move LSU game to come in the next 24 - 36 hours

More than likely, yes. But if they had already given up on Columbia they'd have already made a decision. They are just holding out hope that things will be cleaned up enough to still host a home game.

would there be any way to change the time? Going from 11 to 7 is 8 hours.
Not a big deal normally, but an additional 8 hours may help with travel, stadium prep, broadcast set up.
When you are going from potentially 72 hours to 80 it may help a bit, if nothing more than attendance.

Like I said earlier...I haven't a peep from my hotel regarding my upcoming reservation.

we'd have a little less than 72 hours to get ready. Pretty big difference.
I bet they are already 'getting ready'

I'm staying at the CY at USC and called them earlier. They mentioned the boil advisory, but said they are fine and looked forward to seeing me. I look forward to seeing them too since my room was non-refundable.

I have a flight to Charleston at 7am tommorrow. I have no idea if I need to cancel it or not.

What airline?

Yeah, the flood didn't affect Williams-Brice or the surrounding area, so it's capable of hosting a game without any fans, if it had to happen that way. It's most likely getting moved at this point, though.

Don't mean to sound cynical, but there's a distinct possibility that USC's AD Tanner has already told Spurrier that the game will be held in Columbia as planned. Being publicly noncommittal about the game's status has both political and competitive upsides.

American going there and Delta coming back.

What is the point of prolonging this decision?
Having the game in an already inundated area with multitude of safety issues not related to a football game is simply irresponsible.
Call it a Force majeure and move it to Tiger Stadium now, give people that want to go more time to make arrangements, and let Columbia focus on, frankly, far more important problems.
Moving it to a neutral site is unnecessarily problematic, making already hurried arrangements for 2 teams and fan bases instead of only one.

Walt Oreilly was just contacted by his probation officer about his availability for trash pick up sunday morning. Its happening

Just a quick question. I wasn't very old when LSU had its game moved to ASU in 2005 (10 or 11). How long did that decision take roughly.

PeeJ said the game will be played in USCe's stadium.
