Why? They really weren't that good last year.. Les fricked around, or they end the year 7-5?

Nah man, they were terrible. They lost to UL 62-20.

If Les had given us 10 and 2 seasons the last 5 years, he would still be the coach at LSU.

NO BODY was tired of 10-2 but EVERYONE was tired of that offense and how LSU was stacked with weapons who never saw the field.

I hate to break this to you but Miles record is not what got him fired. It was that everyone saw that LSU could be sooooo much more if tried. He never tried, and so was told to take a hike.

because the help Les pack grumblings had been going on for years

You know why?
LSU 0 Bama 21
LSU 16 Bama 30
LSU 14 Arkansas 31
LSU 17 Ole Miss 38
LSU 7 Auburn 41
LSU 0 Arkansas 17
Add that to last years debacle and that's why. Not one of these games were competitive and all were huge games. Even lost to Miss State in 2014. If Orgeron has any games like this I assure you that the rumblings will start but if he is competitive in a loss it won't be so bad until it's consistent.

O will have a much longer leash than you think with a large portion of the fan base simply because he's Cajun which is ridiculous. I hope hes extremely successful and we don't have to experience any of it but if he isn't just watch how many of our fans will want to cut him slack for that one reason.

I wonder how many people would be okay with rehiring Curley Hallman as long as he said to the media in every interview that he's learned a lot since the early 90's?

It would depend on how good of a binder he can put together.

Taking away the record angle would not be adequately discussing the reason why Miles was fired.

For fcks sake. You tards have been at this for 9 months now.
How about discussing the link and how the season might go instead of turning every damn thread into a Miles and O debate?

Coach O "lovers" say 8-4 is good enough. He needs time.

One of the more prominent leaders of the Oregeron defense brigade was the first one to take this thread off topic and brought up Orgeron's past.

Personally I think 10-2 would be a good year, 8-4 would not be, and 9-3 would be dependent on how we arrived at the record.

So what do you think about Curley learning a lot and getting a second chance? I've been told we can't hold things that happened 10-12 years ago against certain coaches, so surely things from 25 years ago should be off limits.

Bold prediction: Alabama goes 9-3 this year. Loses to FSU, LSU, and..MSU.

Les didn't go 6-2 in the SEC since 2012.
