Brady Quinn has Alabama, LSU, and Georgia in the playoffs.

It seems that if we keep performing the way we've been performing, and keep it within ~10 points of Alabama...we have a very real shot at getting in at 11-1.

Brady has 3 SEC teams in playoffs, I mean...it's never going to happen in a 4-team format

What's the only way that COULD happen?

LSU/Bama go undefeated except one beats the other. UGA goes undefeated, loses in SECCG, 2/3 have 1 loss, 1 undefeated...and at least all other power 5 teams have 2 losses except only 1 having 1 loss or less?

Between Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma, I highly doubt only 1 of those finishes with 1 loss or less.

Have a great shot of making it at 13-0 SEC champs. So tired of hearing can LSU make it as 11-1 with loss to Bama? I know they are the best team the past 10 years but LSU isn’t playing the past 10 Bama teams they are playin this one and this one is beatable. It is time to beat those guys. I want LSU to go to the playoffs because they beat Bama not despite it.

I feel this fan base has already accepted defeat to them. We have not accepted defeat to Bama the past 8 defeats why start now? I love what O has done and am excited about the future but If O wants to prove things are truly going to be different he should win that game.

Public perception already has the PAC-12 out. What if OU beats Texas, but loses to them in the Big 12 championship? And Michigan beats tOSU, who then loses their conference championship?

Still way too early to tell, but as long as LSU, Bama, and UGA keep winning, a lot of people will want them in.

Screw that. I don't want to let Alabama stay that close. Let's beat them by 20+

Either LSU or Bama loses another SEC game (say, to Auburn, maybe) but beats the other one and wins the SEC Championship game. Georgia is undefeated until that game.

LSU-Bama and the winner vs Georgia are all very close, so all three SEC teams have one narrow loss. Ohio State, Oklahoma, and PAC-12 champ all end up with two losses.

It doesnt really matter what people want, what matters is who finishes with 1 loss or less. The committee very likely isn't putting in a 3rd SEC team that has 1-loss over a 1 loss Big 10 or Big 12 Champ. They need to lose another game.

Like I said, only scenario I see the SEC getting 3 teams in is UGA/Bama/LSU all go undefeated except 2/3 pickup 1 loss vs. the other (UGA definitely losing the SECCG), and then only 1 more power 5 conference champ exists with 1 loss or less.

MAYBE if Oregon went 13-1 they get left out, but not OU or tOSU.

- LSU beats Bama on 11/9
- National Championship rematch
- LSU shuts out Bama on national TV; becomes a power house for the next decade.
- 1/9/12 is avenged

One can dream, right?

Honestly think it’s garbage that teams that play each other in their division or CCG should ever rematch in the playoff unless maybe there is a major injury, the game is early in the season, and/or the game is an absolute Hail Mary barn burner.

Otherwise, you’ve already got your playoff game right there — Give someone else a shot. That’s what is best for College football.

Imagine LSU beats Bama & has to play them postseason again... again.

Getting to the 8 team would then happen sooner than later.

I don’t think Georgia makes it. They just seem to lack that killer instinct needed to put elite teams away.

I think Ohio State likely will lose one random upset game this year, but will still win their conference.

Oklahoma has to beat Texas twice. I don’t see them doing that.

No one is beating Clemson in the regular season.

PAC 12 Champ will have at least 2 losses. Oregon just isn’t quite good enough to win 11 straight.

I’m not certain whether a 1 loss Notre Dame gets in or not.

I think it will be:
Winner of Alabama/LSU
Clemson
Ohio State
Oklahoma/Notre Dame

Yeah, like it was hilarious when 2 SEC teams made the BCSCG in 2011

The rest of CFP outside the southeast would have an epic meltdown

I mean, I guess it COULD happen if the Big 10, Big 12, and PAC 12 all produced champs with at least 2 losses. And Bama was 11-1 losing to LSU in a tight game, LSU went 12-1 losing to UGA in a close SECCG, and UGA was 13-0.

I love these fantasies LSU fans have that LSU can make the playoff by finishing at 11-1 and third in the SEC.

THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. LSU must win the SECCG to get in the playoff, period.
