This is the first step in proving to everyone that he understands the gravity of the situation. To stay at LSU would be a very mature decision IMO.
If he gets back on the team and plays well next year it would do a lot on helping his draft stock.

I went to some games when Thomas was the coach. The field was nice but I have no idea about locker rooms etc.

I can picture TM in the front row of the student section with his chest painted.

2 to play 2?

I'm for it if he does everything asked of him by LSU and Miles.

He was my favorite player on the team for the past 2 years.

Technically could the kid redshirt? They all have 5 to play 4

Assuming he is suspended, I doubt a redshirt would be allowed. He has to serve the suspension even if he is allowed to come back. It is a sticky limbo he is in though, since LSU has not said much about what happened or what exactly it has done beyond dismissing him from the team.

Roll your eyes all you like but he's a nickel back. That means 3rd corner. You don't put your strongest DB on the slot receiver.

He wouldn't even have to use that. I know this is a bad analogy due to two very differing things, but it's like those that go on a mission while in college. Their football clock stops until they return. You can't lose a year of eligibility if you aren't on the team

You most certainly do lose years. Religious missions are an exception, those people aren't even in school.

But it wouldn't matter anyway unless he planned on playing two years when he came back.

I'd love to see him get his shite together, come back and finish his career at LSU the right way.

But it seems unlikely that he could afford the tuition for the 1 year without a scholly.

He's earned another chance in my book.

It would be awesome if he could be back for the national title game after serving a year suspension (year being the regular season)...

He would need a good cosigner.

I might be wrong, but I don't think he would be able to redshirt because he would not be "on the team" nor would he have a scholarship like the other redshirt athletes. I don't believe he would be able to go to meetings or workouts or use the team facilities. He would be just another student on campus.

Yeah the food, feild etc.. are nice. Just not near the level of LSU or even McNeese from what I have heard about McNeese.

he has a redshirt to use correct?

I don't see how that is possible. I thought a redshirt was only for freshmen unless its medical, which are rare.
