Updated “All I can tell you is, they’re still in good standing, but not able to play”

The Advocate - Chestnut and Harris are not practicing, Kelly only described their statuses as inactive.
“All I can tell you is they’re on scholarship, they’re enrolled in school, but right now, they are not participating.” Kelly said. “They’re still in the program, still in good standing. But they’re not able to play right now. Let’s leave it at that. Let’s be patient. We’ll see what happens down the road.”
TTT - “still in good standing” obviously means academically. So it’s something else.
Updated - Just now on 104.5 Hanny noted Kelly just said what it is, it’s a violation of team rules or University rules. And Kelly’s unwillingness to say anything tells you that, because there are rules in place that won’t allow him to say anything. But he probably wishes he could say more.

I don’t think that’s obvious. It’s October, how could they not be in good standing academically? That phrase is pretty confusing regarding both. I get it if Chestnut’s played in 4 games and wants to hold on to his redshirt. But Harris has played in more than 4, huh? Just weird to use the same phrase to describe both of their situations.
