He was a great man. I grew up going to his baseball camps at McNeese. Great family and a huge loss for the baseball community as a whole. Prayers for his family.

Tony was a classy guy who did a lot for college baseball in Louisiana. RIP

For context, this is Akin to LSU losing Skip. A real face of the university. Tony was more than just a baseball coach. Guy was really involved in the university and the community well beyond that which was required of his job. He'll be missed.

The procedure was conducted at Lafayette General Hospital. Robichaux is expected to make a full and complete recovery.

I wonder what happened.

The thread was bumped from 10 days ago, clown. The news was good then. OP probably should have started a new thread.

Wtf? Good news? You are a total and complete douche bag! He was a great coach, there's no getting around it, and for you to be saying that it's good he's dead? Are you kidding me?

That's an old post. This thread was initially started after Robe had his heart attack and was said to he recovering.

Lafayette General is probably cringing at that original press release.

If you have some time later this afternoon or tonight, here are several great audio's from Coach Robe about his philosophy on life. His ultimate goal was to make young men better brothers, sons, friends, and husbands. When college and baseball is eventually over with and you enter the real world, no one cares if you batted .398 and led the league in HR's. You're judged by your peers on how you treated people and if you made this world a better place. RIP Coach

Wow, I don't know much about Coach Robichaux, but I do know how highly thought of he was as a baseball coach and a man. May he RIP.

I had two cousins that played on the 2000 CWS team and both had nothing but great things to say about him. His ex players were always welcome around the program and he was a very good coach and man.

My condolences go out the ULL family as they are not only losing a great coach but an even better man..
