Then how does it lead to lack of institutional control? Having a coach who's a dick is a bad thing but it doesn't factor into NCAA sanctions as far as I've seen.

None of this is really a big deal

Homophobia? My right

you do not have a right to play tennis however, and if a player was harassing another over their sexuality and the coach knew and did nothing then it is a big deal

Being a homophobic meanie isn't an NCAA violation, but that's not the issue here. That's just detail about her character in general. Painting a picture of who she is as a person.

In other words, this isn't some mother Theresa who has always had the best interest of her players at heart and just made a bad decision in one or two isolated incidents.

Verge (lsu women’s tennis sport supervisor)

Verge (gets text from Drake Davis admitting to domestic violence against women’s tennis player)

Julia Sells (covers it up...with help? who knew what, when?)

all connected, just depends on what correspondence was saved and when it happened in the timeline. Jade Lewis’s dad probably saved it all, which isn’t good

Either way, there are direct ties between leadership in the athletic department and football and tennis coaches. I.E. lack of institutional control becauwe it’s not just one rogue coach, it runs through the entire program

"Lack of Institutional Control is coming". There's no NCAA violations in the story about Sell being terrible but it'll lead to worse NCAA sanctions.

All bad but is it a NCAA violation?

Not reporting and covering up domestic violence is why the sanctions will come.

I'm not sure what you're saying here, I guess. I agree with you that the stuff about her character isn't a violation. But if her players have reported domestic violence incidents to her and she didn't do anything about them, that's really bad.

My daughter who is friends with some of the girls involved told me about the Guice stuff when it happened. As it was during the mostly-phony-man-hating ME TOO hysterics, I responded with a fatherly due process argument. I'm thinking I probably got that at least partially wrong now. I can't believe professional in positions of authority adults would brush this shite under the rug when it involves allegations this injurious to a student at a public institution. Actually I can.

That's not a NCAA violation. It'll get her and maybe some others fired but the NCAA sniffing around that, I don't think so.

Obviously but not everything that's really bad is a NCAA violation. Title IX investigation, absolutely.

Yeah this doesn't pass the smell test. Alleva, the man that shut down a championship program over a hookers false claim, didnt respond to all these supposed sexual and physical abuse claims? And like you said our compliance department has a hard on for weed but not this? Whats really going on?

Yes speculation is what makes these message boards interesting but without knowing all the facts pertaining to sexual battery I don't see how you pass judgement so easy. Yes I was brought up not to hit women, well later in life I had a son that married what seemed like a wonderful person. First day we met her " I don't curse, I go to church " etc etc... BS she was a psycho and she beat my boys arse a few times. My son was arrested 2 times, she told police my son cut her with a kitchen knife, he swore he only held her and pushed her to get out to the car. The girl broke out 2 windshields, crazy stuff. She later admitted to the judge she cut herself ! Sorry for rambling because it was Jerry Springer crap but it changed my mind about hitting a woman because some women have more testosterone than some men. And my son isn't some wimp. Anyway I don't know what Davis or Guice did or didn't do. I hope nothing but Geaux Tigahs
