They said publicly he isnt a suspect
I understand, but there is no way they can have their heads in the sand that much to not hear and read what is happening to him because they want to interview him.

but they could be grandstanding for the media. Wouldnt be the first time a police dept has done that.
yeah...Jordan Jefferson comes to mind

They can't really press the issue. The interview being delayed doesn't really imply his involvement or lack thereof. It likely was scheduled by his attorney so he can try to figure out and plan for any questions BRPD may ask and then prep Collins accordingly. That's not something you want to rush. Nothing good can come from trying to get through that by the end of today, which is why it makes sense for his attorney to schedule the meeting for next week, giving Collins all weekend to prepare.

the fact that BRPD is ok with the meeting not happening until Monday, it doesnt appear to me that Collins is being questioned regarding involvement in the murder. I mean, if they have any info at all that would make them think he did, I would hope they would press the issue a little more then this

The whole situation sounds like some baby daddy drama possibly from the 10 yo child's father.

If he has zero involvement and knows that this looming through draft weekend hinders his ability to earn a living, then yes a lot of good can come of it.
Thats assuming he has no involvement.

They could not be so public about the request for a meeting, therefore not totally railroading the kids ability to get drafted high.

I would generally agree with this, but you would think if this were the case that BRPD would at least be more assertive to not completely frick this kids chances of making money.
serious question...do you really think a murder investigation can be completed thoroughly in a week? Another serious question..what is more important to the police, completing a thorough investigation or getting it done as quickly as possible so one of their persons of interest can go to Chicago for thew NFL draft?

.@AlbertBreer reports La’El won’t meet with police until post-draft. I’m told police aren’t done with their investigation, not ready for him
More leading me to believe BRPD isnt handling this appropriately.

why should they care? their job is to investigate a murder, not work around the NFL draft

So they want him to come home for an interview...wait, nevermind we aren't ready for you yet

I have a question... I have searched & searched but canNOT find any other names besides La'el's, for people the BRPD are wanting to speak with in connection with this investigation. Plenty of sources have cited BRPD want to speak with numerous people, well who are they? Why only "leak" one name, if you want to "speak" to "many"? Is it he was about to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft & the others are just ordinary run of the mill joe blow citizens?
I'm not being a smart@ss!!! I'm honestly perplexed why we know his name & no other names. Do any of you know the CORRECT answer? Or is there a correct answer?

lol, not a chance BRPD has talked to anyone about non-public details of the case except collins and his attorney.

Smearing a young mans name might not be illegal, but it should be against ethics. I guess some people arent concerned about that.
