Does not make sense. UF and Bama performance is enough to show O is not good enough compared to a Fedora or Gundy no matter how much they are already familiar with him.

System isn't/wasn't broken, but the captain of the ship was deficient in the aspect that we're still deficient in: offense. Makes more sense to get a coach who can game plan in globo AND independently coach a modern offense that can beat any decent team with a rush defense with a pulse.

It's not stupid he is ahead of the 2nd tier group. I want Herman or Fisher no one else is any better than what Ole Ogre has done. It's a crap shoot with them. He will at least keep recruiting going strong for the next hire. Gundy or Fedora IMO will not.

If can't get Herman or jimbo O has earned a chance to have an offseason. If can get either of those guys got to hire them and would be great to be able to keep coach O on staff but that may just be wishful thinking

That is what I'm told also. Fisher was never coming. In big negotiations, you never say no. You just make your asking price unrealistic and also counter with more.
