I clearly stated in the OP that this has nothing to do with how Billy Cannon played and everything to do with how retiring jerseys is a dumb practice in the first place.

You represent everything that’s wrong with this entire country. Number one you targeted a specific player that help build LSU football and bring it his first national championship. Number two you’re too stupid to recognize that this is for the elite of the elite and LSU will never run out of fricking numbers

The guy who started this discussion off with calling me an idiot is now saying I have no respect and need to grow up. How ironic
Also, once again this is not about whether or not Billy Cannon was good enough to be honored by LSU. Perhaps it will sink in the 3rd or 4th time I say it. I’m perfectly ok with his jersey being retired and hanging in the stadium. Not his number though; we shouldn’t do that for anyone.

I agree only in the sense that eventually, well in the future, you’ll have a problem with the amount of jerseys you retire. Eventually you’ll need to unretire them anyway.
