Four runs up on UNO, we better have someone that could close it out. But, I doubt Mainieri could keep Wild Thing in the dugout even if he wanted to. Hess wouldn't stand for it.

I think it’s more that every time Paul moves him back to the 9 hole where he probably really belongs there is a noticeable drop off in productivity.

If Hess hadn’t come out in the 8th I’d agree but he’s already burned for today and your only other realistic option is moffitt and I don’t trust him to finish it by himself.
He probably could but we need this win so don’t take the chance and keep Hess out there. Because if moffit falters then there is no one left to save us
