I said it from day 1. I wish I was dead wrong, but a f’ing blind man could have seen it. Fan enthusiasm is waning because of this bullshite, and when the fan$ start bailing, everyone loses, including the players. This wealth transfer experiment has gone awry; stop it now before it destroys the game that we love.

To me, it can’t be said enough how NIL and the portal has ruined CFB. As much as I used to love it, I stopped watching this season. Nothing to do with how the season panned out, and everything to do with NIL and the portal.

The transfers are the problem, make them sit out 1 year and it’s fixed.

NIL is a mess, but the biggest issue is the portal. You have kids on their 5th schools. You have kids hoping around for NIL deals. They portal needs rules. For example, first and second year players must sit out a year of they transfer. That right there keeps half of them out of the portal and allows for some roster continuity.

NIL money is out of control, but a student athlete should have the ability to go any where they’ll be accepted.

Just needs to be contracts to make players accountable. This free will of going where you want and when you want is wrong. NFL isn’t that way. No rules. This is not sustainable

You used the term "Student Athlete" which used to refer to a school giving a scholarship to a very good athlete in exchange for a 4 year degree in which the NCAA monitored the student athlete to make the grade and get the hours towards graduation.
Now we are allowing athletes to transfer and many time hours do not from school to school and state to state
Weird that the system now really is not for a true student athlete

Ruined and Changed are not the same.
Transfers and NIL have changed CFB forever, some of it for good, some not so good, but it's here to stay. Embrace it and change with it, or be left behind, just like all things in life.
