This is more of the NCAA admitting they are powerless to enforce any rules against football programs than it is an actual new rule

Honestly don't see how SEC spring transfer rule can hold up if any SEC school challenged it.

Just re-read it. It says the number of off-campus recruiters will remain at 11 (incl. head coach).

So yeah, I don’t think this changes a ton. Maybe we start seeing some of the “analysts” who are actually coaches get different job titles that are more reflective of their actual roles.

Completely different scenario when you’re talking about rules implemented at the conference level. Unlike the NCAA, the SEC has competition from other conferences.

“Analysts” have basically been acting as actual assistant coaches for several years anyway.

Exactly. I know a former “analyst” who was on an SEC staff. His DC “coached” the DB’s. The DC never met w/the DB’s, because he had someone that was coaching them on his behalf. Pretty much standard procedure nowadays.

More important than the size of your staff is how you utilize it.

I know this would be bad, but I’d kinda like to see it.
