How is this a bad thing?

Do you really think the present scheme is working?

Well they haven’t even learned a scheme this year so I think they’ll be fine.

All of the defense uniforms look that way. No killer instinct.

They need to learn another scheme besides “let the guy with the ball run right by you” anyway. How much worse can it be?

Speights is soft af. Sits and waits to take on a block rather than meeting the OL in the hole. And it's not like his sideline to sideline ability makes up for that.

I’m saying at certain points in the last game Perkins was telling some players where to line up, there is familiarity and progress in what he’s doing.

It’s like when Aranda first came to LSU and couldn’t fully implement his scheme because it was too much for some players and they needed more time to learn it.

I’m not arguing to retain House just pointing out it’s a process the players will most likely have to go through again.

I think the players would quickly forget House’s “scheme” and welcome the opportunity to actually play in a real scheme.

they have to learn “a scheme” either way. You think we learned some sort of scheme this year? Which scheme would that be?

Lost containment scheme, take bad angles scheme, shitty run fit scheme?

it's college ball. The schemes aren't (or shouldn't be) overly complex, due to practice time restrictions.

Changing coaches isn't a big deal. Saban does it all the time, and they do ok.

I think learning a new scheme is better than whatever is happening right now

It really can't get worse than it is now.
