Sad if this is true... I'm in college right now and I know, as a matter of fact, that I am not nearly mature enough to have a kid. Add that to the responsibilities that go along with football? No fricking way.

This may be true for most of the young dads on the team but Reid is beyond mature enough to be a father. He had his girl young in high school and appears to have had a successful college career while raising her.

I'm not saying there aren't exceptions. If Eric really has done this, and accepted his responsibilities as a father, then I truly respect him

The relative lack of production will not keep him from getting drafted. Rumors about his work ethic might.

A. He's a punter, punters really don't get drafted often

B. He's a punter, catch... punt... Who cares about work ethic?

Obviously I'm joking about the B part, so don't go all ranter on me

Why would Wing leave? He's going to be making league minimum no matter what, right?

Dude, what's league minimum, like $450K. If that is your income ceiling, why not start getting it now and, when it's all said and done, have an an extra $450K when you retire than you would have if you stayed in school?

Then you're smart man. He and Logan are the most important ones because we have less proven depth behind them.

Add Ford as a possibility too. Backfield is too crowded. Either Ware or Ford is leaving for sure. Maybe both. Minter is for sure gone and so is Reid. I'm not shocked at Simon. His aim was always to go to NFL as fast as possible.

Wing said he was leaving before this season even started. I'm not sure why this is a shock to anyone. The dude is like 23 years old too(or something like that).

I don't remember him saying that. He might have. Either way, he doesn't have a choice.

A. Punters as gifted as Wing don't come out often.

B. Just repeating an assessment I read from an anonymous NFL scout. Said he was maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder before the season, now probably a couple of rounds lower. They view his step back this year as a product of him not working on improving his game rather than any kind of talent issue.
