They need to use Schmidt as they did Anderson last year. Let him learn in the midweeks for now. I still find the comment that Jay made of OTB a couple weeks ago strange and unnecessary.

It's very obvious that Schmidt has the talent to pitch, he just needs movement on his fast ball and trust that his catcher can catch his breaking ball in the dirt...... he needs to be there in May and June.

It’s like Schmidt has the yips on the curve. He can’t throw that thing for shite and his fastball just gets abused because of it. Once he finds the off speed he’ll be a totally different level of player. Hope he finds it soon. Because this isn’t it.
