I started at LSU but graduated from USL. I went to many USL football games in the 1970s in high school and was a Cajuns fan before I was a diehard LSU fan. But one Saturday night in the student section in Tiger Stadium as a freshman changed my fandom forever and USL athletics was never the same for me again. I have a lot of connections to both universities, My two youngest children are LSU graduates, my oldest grandson will be graduating from UL Lafayette this May with the same degree I received from USL. But LSU stole my heart long ago though I do still root for the Cajuns except when they play LSU. My wife will be at the game with her sister, I am at work.
