How about mic'ing Mike up and training him to roar with absolute his best vocals everytime LSU scores?
this is a beautiful idea.

not sure how to pull it off but not my area of expertise so I'm confident they can figure it out.

Can even build on it by having him trained to receive food at a certain spot. When defense makes a great play/stop cut to a live feed that is a POV shot of him pouncing on that treat.

I haven’t lost a thing buddy. The stadium is called Tiger Stadium. I’ll repeat that again for you. It’s called TIGER Stadium. It's also Deaf Valley but we don’t need to get into any more traditions and history of LSU football.

It’s so funny the same people make appearances in these threads. Alters much?

I'm not a PETA supporter at all, but you apparently group all people as PETA supporters if they disagree with you. Nothing like a hasty rush to judgment

Mike will never return to Tiger Stadium. Never. Your life will be less stressful when you accept that simple fact.

As further evidence of LSU’s dedication to providing the best, most responsible care for tigers, LSU is working to have the tiger habitat accredited as a tiger sanctuary. Becoming an accredited sanctuary means that LSU has met high standards of excellence in animal care and is operating ethically and responsibly. LSU believes that these changes are in the best interest of the longevity and ethical management of the LSU tiger mascot program.

SB Nation article. Basically LSU doesn’t want to give them a reason to take the sanctuary status. Get over it.

Memphis has a Tiger ON the field.

I’m pretty sure they don’t anymore. The last Tom (III I think) passed away a couple of years ago. I think he was actually owned by someone else who kept him at a nice sanctuary with a lot of open space and he just went to games in a nice air conditioned trailer. And let’s be honest- Memphis games aren’t quite the spectacle that LSU games are, even when they are winning.

ETA- I didn’t realize Memphis officially has a TOM IV, even if they have stopped bringing him to games.

Link the article. Better yet, tell me the year the article was written. I bet it was 2017. Please refer to my previous posts about the people in the positions making those decisions.

If you start off this way, yes you are. Like I said LSUPETA would not like the OP. I’m not saying Mike needs to be out there but some of you act like flaming vaginas.

A few years ago, our current Mike decided that he didn’t want to get in the trailer. End of story.

Wrong. It was Mike VI. They’ve never tried with Mike VII, our current Mike.

And I don’t buy the “Mike doesn’t want in the travel cage story” at all.

They load him up in the travel cage when they want to show him off to the vet students and donors.

Only solution to get him back would be an enclosed bridge from his enclosure to the stadium where he could come and go as he pleases. He would have his own spot in the stands.

Haha I never thought about this, but would fully support. Won’t happen, but a close game in the 4th quarter against Florida and all of a sudden the video board cutting to Mike making his way across the bridge would be electric.

I edited the post precisely because I DIDN'T see it coming. Figured that all the idiots who saw the difference between a dog and a tiger would instinctively also know the difference between a leash and a metal cage.

I'm just gonna pretend you're not that dumb. I've forgotten more about Tiger football history than you've ever learned and I'm probably 25 years younger than you. (Duuuh... Deaf Valley? What's that?) Bitch please.

But keep embarassing yourself and pretending like you're the only smart guy in the room. No sweat off my sack.
