Plenty of tickets will be for sale.

At least if we sell our tix to UGA, they'll still be in the stands at the end of the game.
Posted on 10/2/18 at 1:25 pm to DmitriKaramazov
Who cares what they do.

UGA sold out their allotment of 6000 tickets. Many dawg fans also bought tickets through LSU back in June during our fire sale.
A group of 12 guys in their early 30s (my former students and UGA grads) are coming from ATL and they all bought their tickets from LSU in June for face value. Their tickets are in sec 238 and 237 I think.
I would imagine that there will be another 2-3K dawg fans in the stands (past their 6K allotment).

Give them the student section tickets.

OL. They have recruited a lot of talent, but they are pretty much all true Freshman and sophomores except for center.
I met Gaillard last week, and I couldn’t believe how small he is. He’s probably 5’10”/5’11” soaking wet.

Right, but that's not really a lot different than what most high profile games in teh SEC look like. In 2013 LSU had their full allotment in the upper deck (600 level) plus their smattering of the 300 and 100 level, then some random dots around the rest of the stadium. I expect that to be the same with us...there may be a bit MORE of us in there than a typical visiting fanbase but it's not gonna be some kind of "takeover". No big-6 SEC game is ever going ot look like the notre dame trip:
Keep in mind that for the ND trip (plus Tempe in 08, Boulder in 10, etc) those were seen as true vacation type trips. Nothing against NO but I'm sure there were MANY folks that convinced the wives to take a nice trip to chicago and denver and just also happen to catch a football game along the way.

It will be more than that. Sadly, a shitton of LSU fans buy season tickets that they only get so they can sell them. I've followed the ticket exchange board and glanced at Stub Hub from time to time and it's amazing the number of tickets for sale by LSU fans.
UG folks have the money so they will have no problem paying the $250 to $350 per ticket.

Have you seen the upper decks during the game? They might just do that

It's always a bigger deal when you travel to a venue or city you've never been to before. LSU brought over 20K fans to Seattle in 2009 and even more than that to Lambeau Field in 2016.

exactly, all those other trips I mentioned are ones that someone will almost surely only do once in their lifetime. We play at LSU every so often and get them at home every so often so the "unique factor" just isn't there like it was for the others.
But, we do travel really well so I expect to see a lot of red on game day. Just like 20K ha.

I was very surprised to see so many tickets for sale to the UGA and Bama games by LSU season ticket holders before the season ever started.

Speak for yourself. I’m sure most Uga fans and students ages 18-30 are wanting to come to this one because the next time they come to BR everyone will be older and past their party years. LSU is a party trip. Most fan bases travel down, hit New Orleans then br on gameday.
I’d love to make a trip to Athens. Hope y’all enjoy the trip. Should be a classic

I don't know why you are laughing, after half time, they'll have the majority.

sooo 92k vs 10k. cool.
Posted on 10/2/18 at 2:03 pm to DmitriKaramazov
C'mon guys... this article is little better than click bait to me. It's just about a guy who offers a bus to Geo rans from N.O. to B.R. this year.
I'm sure that Geo will travel well but they certainly wont have more than 15K in that stadium even though that would impress the heck out of me.
Bring it on puppies.

How does being wet affect one’s height?

Yeah I get what you're saying, but it's still an SEC team that we aren't completely unfamilar with. These teams just played each otehr 5 years ago for instance. No UGA fan in history had ever seen us play at ND, Arizona STate, or Colorado before, and unless they're old as frick they'd never seen us play in stillwater either. I'm just saying those trips had that little extra umph that increased their appeal.
