Maybe add Kling to that OF competition

43 pitches through 2 innings. I'll take it!
Yep. We get another nearly 30 pitch inning I think they pull him. That’s a stress inning, and what they especially want to avoid for a guy coming back from injury.

We need a 1,2,3 inning! Get 'em Hasty!

I think Hilliard threw ~30 pitches in the 1st yesterday, though he didn't surrender any runs. One bad inning won't necessarily do a pitcher in, but with this guy presumably being on a pitch count, it definitely helps to get him to throw ~2/5 of his presumed total pitch count in one inning. Especially when you can pick up 4 runs off of it

At this point Hasty is auditioning for the a long role on the weekends. Starter type role just out of the pen.

Berry hit that about 390, just inside the park unfortunately
Yeah, looked like he was about an inch away from hitting it 490 too. He ain’t fooling us so far, that’s for sure. No matter what happens, that last inning was so fricking huge. Had to answer and keep it close, and the bottom of the order and 2 true freshmen came through big time.

Hasty show your filthy stuff!

Good job Stevenson. Now let’s not start 3-0 going forward

Having a long relief Lefty would be huge for this staff after losing Coleman.

Money didn't really seem to be 'on' today, but I still don't like pulling him so early. Johnson/Kelley have been pretty spot on with the pitching lately, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I feel like tomorrow feels likely to be a shootout and the more guys we've got available in the pen the better I'd feel about that.
