Who care's what any of those idiots think? I don't give a shite what any UF fan or talking head has to say about this. Foley screwed up plain and simple. They're backs are against the wall because they THINK they can win the East. I don't feel sorry for them one bit. If Foley had any pride he'd apologize to everyone involved and take responsibility for his selfish actions.

Alleva made UForfeit an offer they couldn't refuse.

This (but with one L in canceled.)

But according to some fans, LSU got fricked over in the deal.

Well we will have to play there more in the long term, but short term it's going to feel so good to run them out of our stadium

Damn, so LSU blackmailed them and got screwed in the process?

I don't know how anyone could think we "won" with this decision.

The game should have been played already, either in BR, or in Florida, Sunday or Monday after the hurricane. Who cares what UF thinks, or anyone else for that matter. UF screwed the pooch

When the SEC told them they couldn't go to the SECCG, it put their arse in gear.

This has been a hugely shared bit of misinformation on this board. The SEC bylaws in place account for a cancelled game and the highest winning percentage rule would still apply.

Both team lose in this situation.
LSU loses a home game next year
Florida loses a home game this year. (They should collect insurance for the lost LSU game)
.
In the end both teams lose about evenly. If LSU had played Florida in Florida then LSU loses and Florida loses nothing.

Right, Florida just defers their Presbyterian home game revenue for a bigger payday next year hosting LSU. LSU gets the payday upfront and takes the hit on the difference in ticket prices.

LSU made concessions, no doubt. But it was equitable and worth not sending LSUs student athletes on a 12 day road trip gauntlet.

But LSU wasn't even part of the discussion according to Foley so how can that be?

You can only be blackmailed if you've got something to hide or to be ashamed of. Confession is good for the soul UF.
