Hurd had a 1.06 ERA in 9 appearances as a freshman last year. This includes a 6 inning start against Arizona where he allowed just one earned run. Big time get.

Depends on if Tebrake makes it to campus and if we pick up Skenes or another big arm but definitely in the conversation. A lot of posters here think you have to put your guy with the best stuff on Friday but if we end up with Tebrake or Skenes I would prefer their experience on Friday with Hurd on Saturday. You are really splitting hairs though. He is a weekend starter which is all that really matters.
