Just a few weeks ago everyone was praising this kid for visiting a dying tiger fan. Now everyone is ready to crucify him. I won’t defend what he did, but calling a kid you never met a thug is idiotic. I sure hope none of you ever have kids that make a poor decision so people like you can hide behind a keyboard and hurl insults like a bunch of adolescents. Just relax, and perhaps say a prayer that wherever this kid ends up in the next year or beyond, he’s moving in a positive direction.

Well what would you call a person that burglarizes a pawn shop for weapons? I guess he's an upstanding citizen? I think that thugs are people who do thug type's of shite, and burglarizing a pawn shop for weapons is pretty much thug type shite. I don't blame people calling it what it is at all. It's unbelievable that the guy with everything he had going for him would do some cap like that. Did you ever think of why they were robbing a pawn shop for weapons in the first place? They were probably going to sell them to other thugs so they could use them for other thug shite, lol. This whole situation screams thug.

He was part of a felony robbery and tried to come back and sweep things under the rug hoping it would magically disappear.
So not only is he a criminal thief that steals guns, he’s also a liar.
But sure, he’s not an idiot whatsoever.

According to Shea at 247, O has spoken to him and his family and he is likely done at LSU.

Took three months to "find out this happened"

Not knowing what players are supposed to be in the game on the first play from scrimmage also screams incompetence, but there are several here who defend it blindly bc they're better fans than us.

I’m with this. It may not be quite as bad as it seems on its face. Peer pressure could have landed him in a situation he wasn’t strong enough to stand up and get out of. I think he’s gotta be gone at LSU regardless, for not disclosing it. But even if it’s exactly what it looks like—he was part of the planning or even the mastermind—I hope he uses it as a very tough learning lesson and bounces back turns his life around. I’m just not too quick to completely throw away a 19-year-old kid forever because of 1 terrible decision sans murder/rape/hurting a child/etc...And I fricking hate thieves like nobody’s business. It’s not your shite. But I believe in both redemption and due process.
But due process is for the courts. He should be shite-canned from LSU regardless. Just to be clear.

Worried about how it impacts the team, namely ILB rotation. White and Phillips MUST stay healthy this season. With Baskerville's injury and Taylor's suspension, the depth chart is taking a big hit. Queen will get his chance to contribute in a big way.

Was this guy a starter?

Agree with this.
I’m from the area where we went to HS. I don’t know him or his mom, but whenever I speak to people who do (former coaches, teachers) they either say good things about him or nothing really at all. He never got in trouble at Lanier as far as I know.
It’s shocking to me because generally, kids around here don’t get into that kind of stuff. I mean, we occasionally have some idiot breaking into cars or someone getting busted for weed, meth or whatever else. But felony armed robbery and other gangster ish like that is really rare.
I want to believe that he had no idea what was going on until his buddies got back in the car, but even then, he (allegedly) decided to drive them away and conceal that information for months. I hate that for him but you can’t let that slide.
I hope he turns it around and doesn’t let this derail his life, but LSU has to move forward. Let’s see what we have in Queen and some of the other young guys.

no problem. O has built amazing depth at the lb position so this shouldn't be an issue.

Don't worry. Your comments didn't cause him to lose control of his free will and force him to commit felony robberies.
He should be gone. For good.

a lot of bama paranoia in this thread. maybe LSU should get its own house in order and not worry about what other schools are doing?

To me, if we get him out of this, it will bode well for the direction of our program. And I'm serious. It will be a sign that we're willing to do what it takes to win.
It's not worse than what we heard about Perriloux. I think we all wish we would have swept what he did as well as Honey Badger under the rug.
what? this isn't smoking some dope or taking a $100 handout. this is being involved in a robbery. i don't care what other schools do. if he did this he has no business being on the team.

He committed felonies - stealing firearms for one. That's serious and there are no mitigating circumstances that can excuse these criminal acts. He needs to be gone.
I'd like to know who were the idiots that masterminded this pulled Taylor in. Those are the guys that need to be hit with maximum sentences and publicly shamed.

I never said it wasn’t serious and I never said that he should be excused. And I said that LSU needs to move on without him.
However, my opinion of him would be different if I learned he was an unwitting participant who made a lousy decision because he felt like he had to drive them away vs he planned the whole thing. The legal system doesn’t necessarily dictate my opinion of people.
