The absolute most pitiful ballsless display I have ever seen on any sports field.

Shame on Watson and Coomes....

What are they supposed to do? Go against 15 years of baseball instinct and start swinging at bullshite because the ump is ready to go home? frick off with that shite.

I hated it

I realize the ump was all over the place that inning but they have to protect with two strikes on them

Balls were out of the strike zone. Goes down as a win by cheating. Oh well. That’s baseball.

You can't look at pitches in that situation, especially considering how inconsistent (or consistently crappy) the home plate umpire has been all day.

I saw more than enough balls in the strike zone with no swing from the batter. Looks to me like we played scared toward the end.

That’s a PM coached team in a nutshell. He gets so frickin tight and his players aren’t able to play loose.
Man I long for the Skip days when you knew the players would respond in a pressure situation. Feel bad for the players now having a mental wreck for a head coach.

When you're sitting in the dugout, as the other team is pitching, the coach is talking to the players and players are coming to the dugout talking about how the ump is calling the game.

I'm sure the coach told them to lay off the pitches right below the knees and rightfully so.

Agreed. We need a change after this large sample size of garbage.

I was able to listen to the first 4 innings and we were doing great. Don’t know what happened.

You are correct. Even the TV announcer (not Ben) commented on the called third strike on Coomes had been called a ball all day.

Sure Mainieri was right, Bianco whined about the zone and the ump caved in to him.
Mainieri did what was needed.

You remember that they were looking at a brand new pitcher that was throwing 95+ MPH strikes, right?

Coomes was right to take that pitch. Clearly a ball, and hadn’t been called a strike all day.

Oh look one of my stalkers is here. Knew my post would smoke you guys out. I just love giving you and your other loser pals a kick to the nuts like this when your little boy PM blows another one. So easy to jerk your chain.
Ha ha.

This. Paul had every right to be livid and this is why we need ball/strike calls to be one of the things you can challenge with the K zone. And Big Ben agrees with me on that.

So you admit you're trolling? Okay, good to know. But, damn, you must have a sad life if that's how you spend your Saturday night!
