IMO brick is trying to wait for Coach O to get scooped up elsewhere. Then he bolts to join chavis at A&m. Scumlin is pulling the strings and miles needs to see it.

I am sure you have a source
but if I am Les Miles, I don't hire a guy with little to no DC experience. Brick would mean the end of the Miles Era in my judgement. Miles made this mistake a years ago, I doubt he makes it a 2nd time but Haley's contract is a problem for Miles / Alleva
I don't think Miles is going this route, until he has exhausted all his options.
Bottom line Brick Haley as DC would be a huge disappointment to the fan base...

Brick is another 2008 waiting to happen. Man cannot develop the whole class of 2013 DT. They have not seen the field. LSU hirings are not about Les Miles relations. The HC is getting paid to make tough decisions. Brick hiring is an easy way out.

What I will say is that if he's hired as DC, it's basically an outward sign of some internal issues because I can't imagine how he would have "won" the job over the other potential choices.
There is no way someone would be able to convince me that weren't forced to "settle" for him. And, you would really have to wonder why.
