Jacobian Guillory said one of the first things Pete Jenkins did was move the defensive line closer to the ball.

"It was implemented to read better, and it has worked, but we've gotten back way too much."

It's absolutely hilarious but also sad that random LSU fans on twitter and TD basically were the ones to snuff this out right after the Ole Miss game and bring it to attention. This looks absolutely terrible for House. My goodness

Things like this happen when there is no position coach.

Also missing a ST coach

BK and House should recognize this without Pete.

I understand a DC has a lot going on but I’m not sure this is something he should miss 5 games into the season.

You really needed an outside-consultant to let you know our DL is 2 yards off the ball?

I mean, c’mon man, I played on the DL in the late 60s on a small Catholic school team and we knew to crowd the line as much as possible. Penetration was the name of the game back then and is still the same now.

It’s a defensive technique they were playing off the ball. It’s not like they were just lining up a yard off the line for shits and giggles.

They were way overthinking this defense.

Can we grab Trindon Holiday to be a returns analyst?

The DC HAS to notice this. I get House isn't a DL coach, but this is fundamental football. Not noticing or addressing is just indicative of what we're all seeing. we probably need a retired or out of work DB coach (a la Herm Edwards) or former LSU NFL DB player to help our DBs in coverage.

Which is an offensive lineman's dream come true

With more spacing it allows the line to take better blocking angles. If someone is right on top of you it makes it more difficult for the offense
