Let’s not pretend Jay is above that. He doesn’t do it by getting all emotional, but he’ll talk to the ump about nothing, challenge calls he has no chance of winning, and call offensive timeouts for no reason but to stall. He does it all the time, he’s just better at not making it so obvious. Gamesmanship. That’s on Floyd to not get rattled. It’s 2023 and we’re more than halfway through the SEC–there’s zero chance SEC coaches haven’t scouted Floyd and know he has a tendency to do that.

I'm still surprised they didn't allow a few warmup pitches after that manager tirade with the ump. Totally fake reason = should have at least drawn a 'strike' for delay on the batter.

There is a shite ton of butt hurt in this thread.
The coach went out there because he said the guy was still in the dugout.
Right then the ump could have said that isn't the guy I threw out. The ump obviously did not remember and even the guys on TV had no idea who was actually thrown out.
Delays can happen for any reason. So you're telling me that a 4-5 minute delay and he forgets how to throw strikes. What happens when LSU sends 9 men to the plate and then next inning he is just okay....

I LOVE seeing a coach affect a game and win it for his team and he gave them a great chance.
