re: True Tiger fans aren't celebrating a loss under Miles

SLo, maybe you realize it, but most don't--Les should've been fired back in 2010, but luck bailed his arse out.
Sure, sometimes we get lucky, but a 22-21 record when losing in the 4th quarter is ridiculously good compared to everyone else. Maybe this is caused by Miles's stubbornness with running into 8-10 men in the box for 3 quarters, maybe not.

2010 should've been 5 losses.
Are you going to also talk about the games that LSU should have won had it not been for the opposing team's luck or bad refs?
quote:
UF- that fake fg was a forward pass. Besides that, 99/100 the ball would never bounce right up into his hands like that again.
You must be ignorant, because we have been over this play hundreds of times. It was not a forward pass. Maybe the fact that Miles's LSU has practiced that play and other fake special teams plays meant that it was more likely to succeed?

08- 8-5
09- 9-4
10- 7-5
That gets Les fired IMO. For some reason, God decided to spare him.
So you think bringing in a new coach for the 2011 season would have gotten us to the Championship game?

I agree. Les built the team that just got its arse handed to it by Moo State....at home.
But they never gave up!

He should only target guys like Mett if he offensive philosophy is set in stone.
and he does do that. he just fails at identifying quality QBs and/or developing them. we lost TWO pocket passers this offseason
rivers is simply not good
rettig is ????
and you can have a pocket passer who is mobile and not a runner. JR was. guys like russ wilson and aaron rogers are
with high school QBs, this staff has literally thrown a bunch of shite at a canvas and tried to make it ALL stick and nothing has stuck
miles is literally 0-fer when it comes to high school QBs. over a DECADE. think about that

WE haven't been able to develop players consistently since Saban's recruits left.

Last night I realized that Les Miles is a lucky idiot that has had the advantage of an unlimited budget since before he got here. I'm done with my support for him. The game has passed by him.
he has gotten by with great recruits, assistants and facilities. how many games has he actually "outcoached" and not out talented/gotten lucky on an opponent? i can count them on ONE HAND!
been done with him since he quit on the team on 1-9.
BUT HE IS ELITE!!!!!!!!!!

10 to 12 million dollar annual coaches payroll and they put this kind of product on the field!
It is hard to be a True Tiger Fan when this happens time and again!
Joe Alleva should take note!

quote:The worst thing that happened last night was coming back late to make the game "Seem" respectable, when it wasn't in reality. Auburn in two weeks will be a real wake up call if this debacle wasn't enough.
games like last night are necessary. sometimes you need to get the shite kicked out of you to realize just how bad your scheme/gameplan is

It happened in 2012 with Florida. No way we beat South Carolina or aTm if that loss doesn't happen.
The only thing that changed after UF that year was that Jeremy Hill got the ball. The offensive game plan did not change AT ALL. The D was solid against UF in a loss and again against USC and A&M.

I'm not going to say the sky is falling, but I'm holding out on my opinion on the strength of the team to this point. I went to Sam Houston's home game last night to watch them play the Colorado State University Pueblo (CSUP). This was a HOME game for Sam, they lost 47-21 with two of the touchdowns happening with under six minutes left in the game. I sent a text to my wife at halftime stating how bad this Sam Houston team really is. It actually made me a little nervous seeing a team like CSUP virtually do the same thing to this team that LSU did.
Obviously there are other factors and you can't directly compare two different games but it did make me question at what level are we really playing compared to the other SEC teams in the West.
This was my post on the 14th, I'm a true tiger fan but I saw this coming. I'm really sick of the tired, same old game plans that seem to be used every week. We destroy a couple of rent-a-win teams and the overwhelming consensus is that we're on our way to another championship. I'm crushed every time our tigers lose, but If nothing changes, this will be a very long season.

everyone knew this season would be a down year because we're so young.
What's it say about our program when we concede entire fricking seasons due to youth?
Meanwhile, Bama is in the hunt every year. They have just about as many NFL players as we do in the NFL.

don't forget Tennessee in 2010. wooooo hoooooooo just another day in the sec, he pulls a game out his a$$ against a horrible tenn. team, & he acts like he just won the nc. really sad
UNC tight end dropping the game winning TD saved his arse, jarrett Lee's 4th down throw to keep drive alive gainst UT plus dooley's "too many men" snafu, JJ playing terrible where again, Mr. Lee saves his arse late in game against UF, then again against bama.....yep could have easily had 5 losses and he woulda been history after 08 and 09.

No, I'm saying with the right hire and someone who hasn't let the game pass him by, here is what would've likely transpired:
'11- solid 10 win season or greater. Mett probably would've started. No tard would start JJ/Lee with that arm on the roster.
'12- Champ run
'13- champ run
'14- probably a step back,but still 9-10 wins IMO.
