We don't lose Saturday? Truth. The lead is too big, never give them any momentum, playcalling changes, and Nuss doesnt press as much.

False. It’s just a closer score

If we would have made the missed field goals I think it would have played have helped. We would have been up 20/23-7.

The thing is this. We must move on and learn from our mistakes. Until Our offense starts making TDs instead of field goals we will struggle.

We will never know. We certainly had our chances to score many points and turned over the ball assuring them points to often to win.

Youre up 23-7 at half. Really big drop right before the half when youre driving again. A&M did absolute jack shite the first half. If you look at the week before LSU made all the field goals and Arkansas never got into it. Game went a lot smoother.

I do think the blessing in disguise for the loss is that if LSU wants to make the playoff, the running game obviously has to improve 2 fold. You could have won the game without missing the field goals and still maybe not discovered this.

The bigger offensive blunder was Hilton not high pointing an easy TD catch. He jumped too early. Lacy makes that catch.

Nuss making poor decisions and interceptions that changed momentum.

Hilton not coming down with the TD on a very good throw.

No run game at all.

And then not adjusting to their QB.

The miss field goals deflate shite mostly. It's worse than going for a field goal instead of a td.

I think making just 1 of those 3 missed kicks would have gone a long way. Every missed kick doubled the momentum that A&M had going. even just making the last one to only go up 20-14 would have helped in terms of slowing the game down a bit for our defense and forcing their offense to have to go another 20 yards more than they ended up having to go with the muffed snap there. the missed kicks were just the beginning of what turned into a major avalanche. Nuss's INT's would not have felt as weighted if the kicking unit didn't throw up all over themselves.

ETA: Scoring a damn TD on 1 of those 3 drives would've also put the game away. Certainly gotta remember the offense's role in this, too.

Momentum was lost when LSU dominated the first half and was only up by 10. Also a big thing is it kept the crowd in it the entire game.

False.

The score would have been 23-7 at the half. If anything, that probably would have hasten the QB change for A&M.

A&M didn't start the 2nd half on fire. 2 drives, 14 yard gained total, two punts. LSU wasn't in "pressing" mode with a 17-7 lead with 10:00 to go in the 3rd. Nussmeier just threw a horrible pass that set A&M up at the 8 yard line. They likely score even with Wiegman still in the game.

LSU still wasn't "pressing" even after the TD. The took the ball and quickly marched right down field again. Only this time Nuss missed a wide open Taylor. However, he hit Thomas over the middle for what should have been a first down. A good play by A&M jarred the ball loose. LSU then set up for a FG at the A&M 29. There was no reason for LSU to be "rattled" at that point...until the snapper hits the holder in the face with the ball. The LSU team/coaches weren't rattle. The speicial teams unit snapper, holder, kicker, certainly were though after bad execution on previous kicks.

So let's say it's 23-14 at that point. A&M went right down field and scored a TD. Now it's 23-21. Sure, maybe LSU gets another TD after that, but the defense wasn't stopping A&M. It didn't matter if they started at the LSU 10 or the A&M 25. LSU wasn't stopping them. The final score is probably a bit closer, but the result is the same. The defense literally had no answer for the A&M adjustment.

Hilton and the holder

Nuss shouldn’t be pressing that much for 2 INT’s regardless. It doesn’t matter if we’re down 100-0, they were dumb.

It’s Monday and I can’t seem to care anymore. We’ll lose to Bama probably
Find a fourth loss and then play in a meaningless bowl again. The team that had so much potential going into the second half completely disappeared and was replaced by a regression to the O years. It was downright sickening to watch.

I am not sure they change QBs if we go up 23-7. They would have felt the need to pass to catch up.

We shouldn’t have been playing for 50 yard field goals in that environment to begin with. I can excuse the first one, but after that you call plays for 4 downs.
