No, I don't have blinders I just know this board is completely overreacting over a few drops like they don't remember OBJ and Landry having these same problems as a true freshman. Just the fact that he was good enough to start day one as a true freshman should tell you something.

Quinn has loads of potential. But, at this point, to say that all of the issues he's had were due to the offense, or QB, simply isn't true. He's going to continue to get better...and to be honest he needs to. I can't see why anyone from the Quinn camp who should be complaining. Diarse outplayed him at times this year, yet Quinn got the large majority of snaps. Obviously, the coaching staff sees the potential in Quinn and are investing in him by giving him the playing time. But, he's not the best WR we have after the catch. In fact, I think he's much better with the ball in the air than he is with it in his hands. And, even though he's not big, I think he's better on the outside than he is on the inside (lots of people are going to disagree with me on that one).

Although he does have a surprisingly ridiculous vertical, I wouldn't say he's best when the ball is in the air. I know it's not college tape but go back and look at some highlights where he does some pretty good 5A DBs absolutely dirty. And while I agree he's best used outside instead of in the slot, he is out best receiver after the catch. Dupre and Desean Smith would be the guys that I'd throw the jump balls to.

We are in the running to land 2 of the top WRs in the Nation, IF they read some of this Garbage they are NOT COMMING. Trey Quinn is going to have a great career here, Bama he simply had a bad game, We have a QB that's was bad every game fumble or INT you name it. So how in the hell do you build chemistry, Durall had a couple drops, Dupree had a Couple and so did Diarse. And with our QB locking in on the intended receiver we are lucky they finished the year healthy. Another part to being a WR is blocking and not standing watching the play when it's not to you and Quinn was the best

I actually think Quinn is below average with the ball in his hands.

When did he make a play after the catch like Diarse did against Wisconsin? I don't recall one play where his YAC was something to take notice of.

We all want him to be great, but he looked like a boy against men in some of the games. Can he get better, of course he can I'm sure he will. He isn't close to Todd Kinchen yet.

We depended on him specifically for those plays... Big fan hopefully next year he can handle the pressure.

We didn't exactly put him in great situations to run with the ball. He usually caught the all in a diving effort or was tackled immediately.

Then you are basing his YAC off of high school, not the SEC. If he ends up being half as good as Todd Kinchen I'll be happy.

Just based off what I've seen. He doesn't look overly quick in small spaces...which is why I think he's better on the outside. The few times we've seen him get the ball on a bubble screen or quick pass, he hasn't looked good doing it.

My opinion could change, obviously. Clearly, our passing game wasn't clicking this year. But, the play that I think showed what Quinn can do was actually a play he didn't make. His adjustment to the ball in that Wisconsin game, where I think he would have made the play had the defender not got his hand on the ball was elite level.

Moneyg/glassman,

Fair criticism, and I actually agree. I like him outside and he has done well when one on one out there (see Florida film). I think the coaches seem to like the taller guys out there. I think he beats press coverage better than anybody on our roster.
What is equally as interesting to me is nobody is mentioning how wide open he was most of the season. If you watched the games you know I speak the truth.

OBJ, Brandon LaDrop...Bowe(& his lasik eye surgery) ALL Dropped passes...

Quinn is not being utilized properly...forget Welker...he can be a mix of Jordy Nelson & Brandon Stokley & Jarvis Landry...Quinn made some nice catches vs. Florida & Ole Miss & the one handed snag vs Wisconsin was nasty!

Even Lame Kiffin knows you get the WR's involved EARLY in the gam.e..you know in the 1st quarter?? Get them into a rhythm...don't wait to the 4th qtr!...but not with LSU and their Sun-Belt caliber QB & Navy-like passing stats

Delta Doc probably was a slow white dude that was picked on by other kids in P.E.!

Let's hope Quinn wants to endure another year of Jennings laying him out like he did. That was a sign of a poor decision on the QB's part.

The lackadaisical effort by some( coaches & players) will never beat the Ellite teams.

IMO, Quinn underperformed this season. He has more potential than we saw. He needs to play better.

And I would bet, he would say the same thing.
