I'm not saying give them the hated rival reception but they are coming here to try to win the game and they should be treated like any opponent. Cordially, but cheering for them and against LSU? come on.

Fun fact: A lot of people in the military don't like Academy grads.

I'm so confused on how we show Army respect. Are the piss balloons back on or not?

Honestly, no disrespect to them but I’m pretty sure every other team that’s played against army this year has booed them. We can boo them but it’s not like we are saying we hate Army

I was going to go a little easier on my tackles Saturday, but after reading this, I'll give it my full effort. Thanks man

Man this is a dilemma. I’m sitting here wondering if I should eat my cold nachos from Aramark while Army has the ball or refrain so I don’t crunch too loud and distract them

And if I go the bathroom while they have the ball should I flush it or hold off for fear of making too much ruckus

Honestly I don't think most of the talk has been about the team. Its really been about don't go out of your way to be a horse's behind to the Army fans this Saturday. Big difference.

But everybody knock yourselves out. Be sure to 'Tiger Bait' in the face of some old guy who was probably in Vietnam.

Who has advocated cheering for Army and against LSU? All I've seen is people asking not to boo Army.

There was a thread about it earlier. Maybe tongue in cheek, you can never tell around here.

I don't think it's even that. I was at the UAB game last season and honestly, why boo them? It's like punching down. Save the venom for the real opponents.

This is absolutely true.

Boo them when they come out of the tunnel.

Cheer when we stop them on any play.

The level of pearl clutching towards Army Football is unreal. LSU fans probably cannot name a single player on Army that they have a personal grudge against. It's typical sportsmanship.

A lot of ignorant posters are acting like we hate the actual Army if we boo them in a football game. Get a grip.

Piss balloons will be reserved for the fans who leave in the 3rd quarter.

They poached Dietzel in ‘62. I wasn’t alive then but I’m still pissed about it.

Well, to be fair, most academy grads act like they shite popouri.

Last summer my son’s unit got stuck with an academy intern (I think is their summer between soph and junior year). The amount is times my E-5 son had to tell this this intern to sit down and shut up was comical.

At one point he hurt the interns feelings enough that the intern complained to my son’s flight sergeant. At which time he was told to go sit down and be quiet, but this time by an E-7.

enough of these threads. Its dumb

Dont boo when they enter the field of play. Make a ton of noise when they are offense. Dont tell them to STTDB, just direct it at the referees after the first missed call
