They're just people. Why do some folks deserve more consideration than others.
Just because they made a bad decision and went to West Point...
My Assistant Weapons Officer on the Submarine would joke about his decision to attend the Naval Academy. He said, "I had a Basketball Scholarship to Stanford and go to school with all those Co-Eds, like a fool I chose Annapolis". Great Guy!

If tough SOBs traveling to a famed stadium to play a sport they love gets cheered, they’re more than likely thinking WTF is wrong with these people?

I served 14 years and I will boo the hell out of them if I want to. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I work with a lot of academy grads, from all of the academies, very few have the "athletic" allegiance to the academies the way people from "traditional" colleges do

I'm not saying give them the hated rival reception but they are coming here to try to win the game and they should be treated like any opponent.

No doubt.

I think this was what the first guy who posted anything was trying to get at. Perhaps he missed or maybe people on here just like being butthurt.

but cheering for them and against LSU?

I haven't seen anyone not trolling suggest this, have you?

Fun fact: A lot of people in the military don't like Academy grads.

Like any large organization, there are always people who dislike their bosses or people in charge in general. Conversely, there are also always credentialled people who make you wonder how they even leave the house properly dressed.

As a military veteran myself I can assure you they won't care if you boo them. Thus is a stupid topic.

It's more about LSU fans demonstrating their appreciation for some of the best and brightest who have chosen to be a part of and eventually lead the US Army. After they take the field, Tiger Stadium should be as loud as ever so that they get to experience the best atmosphere in college football. If it makes you hardos feel better to boo them, go right ahead. Just don't be surprised if many LSU fans show them appreciation by cheering them as they take the field.
