How’s it deep? We have three total backs now, two of which didn’t play last year.

My guess would be academics
When you bounce around like he has, it can't help your grades and maybe he needed summer school courses to remain eligible academically

Cain averaged 3.3 ypc last year with over 100 carries. I hope we’re not counting on him to get a bunch of touches. This is bad news, and I’ll be curious to find out what the deal is.

I think Noah Cain will get a lot more snaps this season. Emery and Cain will split the load and hopefully both can stay healthy.

Don't know why he would willingly leave. There was PT on the table for him, especially on 3rd down. I wonder if it was summer school grades.
