Cain will be good for us this year.

I hope so. Just not sure what’s changed. What he did as a 20-year-old against Big 10 defenses is a better predictor of what he’ll do this year than what he did as an pre-injury 18-year-old against high schoolers. 3.3 ypc is bad. Terrible, actually for college. And 100 carries is not a small sample size. Maybe Penn State had a horrible OL, and he just had no room to run. Hope so. Either way, I think Goodwin gets more touches. And we REALLY need Emery to stay healthy.

He was removed today. I've got a copy of the roster from earlier this morning & he was on it.

Didn't make the grades over the summer or just didn't show up to camp

Better to know now than the day before the FSU game. And we do tend to sleep on Williams because he was a former walk on. But he’ll contribute some for sure.

Cain averaged 3.3 ypc last year with over 100 carries. I hope we’re not counting on him to get a bunch of touches. This is bad news, and I’ll be curious to find out what the deal is.

Give me all your precious downvotes.

Could one of you bitches actually address the facts I posted? Y’all think 3.3 ypc in college is good? Cause it ain’t. I’m not saying he won’t, or shouldn’t have a nice role, I just think if we find ourselves having to give him the ball 20 times a game somehow, that’s not ideal. He’s clearly not the same dude after his knee injury.

Why is everyone so convinced Bradford was 4th string?

Yes. You know how quick you can run through RBs in an SEC season? I contend he was 3rd string, but it’s more about the depth than anything.

This isn't anything bad. Guy wants to play and I'm sure there's info we don't know after day 1. Maybe he showed out of shape and BK let him hear what he thinks.

We're back to having a walk on be 4th string, Williams. Something happens to Emery, Cain, Goodwin, we have trouble on our hands

edit: spelling

Goodwin and Kiner aren't no joke. They both were nicked up last year. Then you have Emery on full go. Not enough touches to go around. Throw in Cain who's a proven veteran...

Quit thinking of Williams as a walk-on. He’s been on scholarship for like 3 years now. And I may as well triple down on my Cain doubt, not hate, and y’all can shower me with even more downvotes , I think Williams plays more than Cain.

In all seriousness, could someone explain why you’re so confident in Cain behind our OL and quick to dismiss his poor season last year? (I’d bet a lot of you aren’t affording Daniels the same benefit of the doubt.)

We’ve got great WRs, but we’re still gonna have to be able to run the ball effectively, and this RB group was already subpar for LSU standards. It just sucks to already lose a dude—and I’d have said the same for Cain—before the 1st practice.

That’s cool. But Kiner plays for Cincinnati.

Williams is awful. Everytime he got PT last year he couldn’t get past the line and constantly messed up pass protection.
