If he stays for 2018, he's not going anywhere in 2019 unless a big program comes calling. The 2019 recruiting class could be one for the ages with all of the in-state and talent we already have committed. OL and RB will be the biggest gets. He could potentially take that class with the addition of a seasoned Brennan/Narcisse and have a dynamic offense. His best option is to play out his contract and get a much better HC offer if he wants to leave.

Whether there is a personal or philosophical difference between O and Canada or not, they both would benefit from getting along and building a powerhouse program over the next couple years.

Yes it is. Who is going to hire him as a head coach? He will be at LSU for the next couple years at least.

Him throwing his hat in the ring has nothing to do with him being hired as a HEAD COACH. Did he blow you away enough this season for you to hire him as your team's head coach?

Yeah, didn't think so.

B. We need some consistency. Hopefully they can all act like adults and play nice.

Absolutely not. Frankly, all the talk about him going elsewhere (based on positive merit) is really confusing to me as well. It also leads me to believe there may be more issues with him and Orgeron than we all may think (why else would he be missing big recruiting trips and saying hes interested in looking elsewhere)

Where in the "F" did you see this? He was in California this week recruiting QB's for LSU. He was instrumental in convincing Noah Cain LSU is the place for him to be this past weekend.

There was another thread about it earlier today. Admittedly, Im not keen on the recruiting trail, so if thats inaccurate with him out visiting others, apologies, I'll eat that one.

Nope, he is wrong. With the recruiting class for 2019 Coach Eaux has coming in it will be a LONG TIME before he leaves LSU. He will be set up for national championships with what he already has committed. Nothing you can do about it besides being miserable. Good luck !!!

A and B aren't the only options.
One can argue that The Orgeron did not intentionally make Canada's staying on as OC an issue. I think that was exactly what he did and that the crop of stories in the media about it are not coincidental.
what cannot be denied is that after this issue gained traction, Orgeron had the complete ability to take the air out of the ball by some sort of public statement, and he has chosen NOT to do so.

Read em and weep bitch. I know you hate for LSU to be successful but you can't say this unstoppable train is in motion and can't be slowed down. Check out the "recruiting board" for more horrible news for you.

Why the hell do people think this?

I know the comment was aimed at someone else but it still doesn’t make sense.

This is my concern. Getting those 2019 guys accustomed to Canada and having him bail close to signing day next year. That would be relatively devastating. Unfortunately I don't think he would take the recruiting class into his decision at all.. If he leaves after signing day, whatever.

but if he's going to leave before signing day I prefer he do it this year.

Didn't read the thread? Anything in the thread? The idiots who think Eaux is leaving with the classes he has coming in?

Are you totally blind?

I read it but I didn’t interpret it the way you did. Of course I look at more than isolated circumstances. Les was gone with top recruiting classes, so they aren’t everything.

I read it to say that Canada isn’t leaving.

BTW even if O goes 3-9 next year, I don’t want him fired as long as Alleva is AD. Alleva has to go. Let a competent AD make those decisions.
