Town most historically underrepresented on LSU rosters

I was thinking about this tonight, and Natchitoches was what I came up with. I couldn't think of a recent football or basketball player from there. Maybe there's been a baseball player, I don't follow it as closely. Without looking it up, I can't come up with anyone from Natchitoches who has played for LSU in a major sport, although I'm sure there are some. For a decent sized town, it doesn't produce many D-1 athletes. I guess Joe Dumars is the notable exception, and he was a sleeper.
Alexandria has to be a close second.

You may want to make a note defining size of town. I mean, I can't think of anyone from Dry Prong (sounds like a medicated cream could cure) that has played for LSU.

Dry Prong is technically a village, not a town, so I wouldn't expect them to produce any notable athletes on a regular basis.

I have mixed feelings about this. There are some obscure, weirdly named towns in the state that I've forgotten about and was looking forward to seeing them pop up in this thread.

I grew up not too far from there, so it never sounded strange to me. It wasn't until I got to LSU that it provoked howls of laughter.

Alexandria is the largest city that just sucks when it comes to football. Zero talent comes from that area.

Russ Springer played at Grant High in Dry Prong. He played in the Majors for 18 years. As for Alexandria, Peabody produces D1 basketball players almost every year, as they are a powerhouse. Those players just don't play at LSU for whatever reason.

I always thought that Houma/Terrebonne Parish was very under-represented on LSU rosters across all sports. For a fairly populous area with a lot of high schools and kids who play sports, there's just not a lot of potential LSU players.
It's especially odd when you consider that just down the road, smaller Thibodaux has produced a fair number of division 1 players.
Houma may not be the greatest football talent spot in the world, but I do know it's produced some solid high school baseball players over the years, consistently. I've never understood why none of them seem to wind up at LSU.

Maybe Sulphur. Besides Tahj Jones and the DT who quit to become a rapper, you have to go back to the 80's to find a player from there.

Natchitoches produced the 1992 NL Rookie of the Year, Pat Listach. He was born in Natchitoches in 1967 and, according to Baseball Almanac, attended Natchitoches Central High School followed by McLellan Junior College and Arizona State University.
