LSU has far superior talent than UCLA. Per 247sports, UCLA's last 3 classes are ranked 40th, 33rd and 31st.

LSU is ranked 3rd, 4th and 5th over the same period.

If LSU doesn't win this game by double digits then it's on the coaches.

Right. That's why I said in a previous post that UCLA is about on par with Kentucky. I used Kentucky because posters here are probably a little more familiar with Kentucky than UCLA. You can argue that MSU builds their teams in similar fashion but MSU lands a few more 4 stars here and there.

The problems that these type of teams present is the fact that they have good experienced 3 star talent and in the opening game that experienced talent can surprise inexperienced superior talent.

The good news for LSU is we have a lot of 4 and 5 star experienced talent returning this year with 4 and 5 star inexperienced talented depth especially in the trenches and even at the QB position.

LSU shouldn't be taken by surprise this year like they were taken by surprise by MSU last year.

Kelley can’t wait to run his offense against our defense after watching last years Miss State game. Will our defense be ready for Kelly’s fast break offense?

The thing that makes UCLA dangerous is their 4 and 5 year three star prospects that have grown to become good football players.

I’m don’t think they have a 5 star on the entire roster

So I am Wondering how you made this opinion.

Chip Kelly always has teams that can score points. It may sound too early to say this but that game will be a harbinger on what the defense could be in 2021. Barring injury... we’ll score on UCLA.

LSU will score but can their defense play for four quarters?

Sort of reminiscent of the opener at Texas, a tough road opener at UCLA for LSU.

I’m gonna stop you right there. How in the hell do you even come up with this nonsense? Texas is a way better program and DKR is a way tougher place for a top 10 team to win at regardless of how UT finishes any season. This is the most retarded comparison I’ve ever seen.

We’re gonna destroy UCLA. It’s at least a 17 point win. Nobody said that about Texas. We all knew we could win but if we did we thought it was a close one. In reality , you take a away that last minute touch down by Texas and we controlled that entire game.

That’s why it’ll be impressive when our defense puts up a goose egg

UCLA had six point losses, compare that to less than average SEC teams that LSU got lit up by. You have a poor memory.

2018 3-9
2017 6-7
2016 4-8
2015 8-5

They're improving. Their coach is Chip Kelly and they fielded one of the best offenses in the land in 2020. DBU will be tested bigly in Pasadena. Will be interesting to see how far we've progressed since the Pelini mistake.

Top 10 LSU team versus unranked, double-digit underdog, early in the season, in an historic venue where LSU has never played, after an underachieving season ...

Lambeau 2016 or Rose Bowl 2021?

It makes for a great incentive to show up and play well in LSU’s season opener.

The QB for UCLA may be better than anything we face in the SEC. Will be a big test for the defense out of the gate.

Coach O (the shrimp boat captain) is smart enough to surround himself with a very intelligent staff, but they’re not around him 24/7 to keep him from putting his foot in his mouth occasionally.
