Sort of reminiscent of the opener at Texas, a tough road opener at UCLA for LSU. Nothing about playing against a team from Los Angelos at their place is easy, refs included. While Coach O will be looking to see if he has another a championship caliber team. LSU fans will also be looking to see if we have a championship caliber coaching staff.

They can be. Hell, they may be better next year... They were 3 and 4 last season, yet never lost by more than 6 points.

Playing at a power 5 school is always tough, but it isn’t like playing Texas, or some other big power 5 school

I would imagine they will be completely crippled by Covid restrictions throughout Spring practice as well as summer workouts. So that should give us an advantage.

It will be tough.

New defense (system, coaches, etc.) against Chip Kelley. He will test the communication and knowledge of scheme very well.

I read somewhere that UCLA is scheduling a game ahead of us, giving them some advantage.

Our offense will have to start off strong as UCLA is apt to put up some points.

UCLA has been bad recently.

There's a good chance they will be improved next year, but LSU should have no problem with them.

If they were in the SEC they'd finish 8th in the league at best and that's probably being generous.

That could be an advantage for us. We'll have recent tape to review of them while they won't have any for us.

Any P5 season opener is always difficult especially when breaking in new coordinators. I expect LSU to travel 2-3 days in advance to get acclimated to west coast and then LSU fans will make it feel like a home game.

They are hard to gage. They were much better than they were in 2019, but they only played 7 games and still finished 3-4.

Remember couple years ago the Aggies were up like 30 points or more and lost to UCLA. They thought is was over and just stopped playing hard. Crazy game

Hopefully it will be a night game at the rose bowl. We should dominate this team. Last year still has me wondering though.

The one thing in their favor is they are near the top of CFB in returning production. Talent wise we are better, but they don't have the staff turnover and Chip Kelly is probably drooling over our horrid defensive performance last season thinking he can exploit our D.

I think LSU wins, but I expect UCLA to put up a fight.
